skating on the lake, X-country skiing, horseback riding
(weather permitting) and more....
Wilderness living means few fences and
plenty of trails for those who enjoy hiking and horseback
riding vacations. Our Registered Tennessee Walking Horses
are gentle and well trained. We have horses suitable
for all levels of skill from beginners to experienced
trail riders. Sign-up for a one to three day trail ride,
where the nights are spent in a rustic range cabin or,
if you prefer, under the beautiful stars. All trail
rides, whether hourly, daily, or longer will be guided
by a ranch employee. Local fossil beds are also a favourite
destination for families to explore.
Since we are an active cattle ranch our
guests are encouraged to join the fun. Whether its'
riding the range, sorting cows or fixing fence, there
is work enough for all those who choose to participate.
Afterwards guests can gather round the campfire and
chowdown on some wholesome cooking.
Pack a lunch and hike up Tatelkuz Mountain
to experience the beautiful vistas and find the peace
and solitude you have been searching for. The view of
the coast mountains is breathtaking. Wildlife abounds
in our wilderness area and there will be many photo
opportunities.
For those more interested in water sports,
the rainbow trout won't let your line slacken and fly
fishing is a must. Our speedboat is available for those
who enjoy waterskiing and wakeboarding. For the quiet,
introspective types we have fishing boats and kayaks
which can be rented by the day or by the hour. |
